FAQs

“Colostrum should be natural - it should not be denatured in any way.”

- Lance S. Wright, M.D., co-founder of the American Holistic Medical Association

Q: What do you think of removing the fat from colostrum and replacing it with some kind of lipid, such as some of your competitors do with their “lipid delivery system“?

A: Nature doesn’t remove the fat from colostrum and replace it with some kind of lipid. Either man is wrong or nature is wrong, there is no other possibility. Synertek trusts nature; after all, isn’t nature what colostrum is all about?

Q: Is Synertek colostrum organic?

A: Each batch of Synertek colostrum is tested by both an in-house laboratory and an independent third-party laboratory to be sure it is free of micro-contaminants of all kinds, including chemical, heavy metal, and micro-biological, and that it meets the parameters of 1st six hour colostrum. The dairies are hand picked for their wholesome and organic practices, but remember that there are not enough certified organic dairies to meet the demand for colostrum and therefore not all the dairies used for Synertek colostrum are certified organic.

Q: Are the dairy cows genetically modified or are they ever given GMO feed?

A: The cows are not genetically modified and are never given GMO feed.

Q: Are the cows given antibiotics?

A: Only in the course of necessary medical treatment, such as you and I.

Q: Are the cows humanely treated?

A: Absolutely. Synertek strongly believes in the humane treatment of all animals.

Q: What about the calves? Don’t they need the colostrum too?

A: Yes, absolutely. Only after the calves have had their fill is the surplus colostrum milked from the cow, exactly as milk is milked from cows. It does not cause the least harm or discomfort to the cows.

Q: Should the fat be removed?

“The first way of denaturing colostrum is by taking out the fat.”(Lance S. Wright, M.D.) Some components of colostrum use fat as a vehicle for transportation. Removing the fat eliminates some components and changes the proportions of others. This results in a loss of synergism.

Q: What form of colostrum is best to use?

A: The first rule is to use anything but capsules. This is because much of the benefit of colostrum occurs in the mouth and throat - direct protection against infection, stimulation of physiological and enzymatic responses vital to the utilization of colostrum, and healing of the gums and esophagus.

For internal use, use Synertek lozenges or powder, for topical use, Synertek liquid.

Either Synertek lozenges or powder provide maximize immune system strengthening. The lozenges are more convenient, the powder is more suitable for larger usage amounts. Larger amounts will result in more of some benefits, such as lean muscle development, fat burning, athletic benefit, healing rate, and anti-aging effect.

The liquid has the fat removed, therefore it is not generally recommended for internal usage. However it is wonderful for topical usage - to stop nosebleeds, rapidly heal skin injuries, heal eczema, acne, and other skin irritations. Put a few drops on a skin injury. You can actually see a dramatic amount of healing in only four or five minutes.

Q: Does stomach acid destroy colostrum?

A: Colostrum is designed to get through the digestive tract without degradation, and contains trypsin and protease inhibitors that prevent digestive enzymes from breaking down the active proteins.

Q: Should I mix the powder with water or some beverage?

A: You can, or you can mix it with a little applesauce or yogurt, but it is best to take it straight. Some of it sticks to the teeth and gums and provides extra benefit as it dissolves there, introducing the immune factors in the mouth, throat and larynx, where infection often begins; exposing the healing factors to the gums and esophagus; initiating physiological and neurological responses basic to the utilization of any food including colostrum.

Q: Does the powder taste bad?

A: Top quality colostrum has a quite mild and agreeable flavor. Most people like it. A few people do not, and mix it with a dab of yogurt or applesauce, or blend it in a beverage.

Q: What about lactose intolerance?

A: Anyone with lactose intolerance can use the maintenance level of Synertek colostrum without symptoms. Most persons with lactose intolerance can use any amount of Synertek colostrum they want, and some customers have reported that their lactose intolerance vanished altogether after using Synertek colostrum for a time.

Q. What about dairy allergies?

A: Some persons with dairy allergies experience symptoms with colostrum and some do not. Those who do may want to try the liquid since it has the casein removed.
